Make your Klame.
Put your photos on the map. Name the world your way.
Klame is a shared world map. Pin every photo to the place you took it, suggest new names for landmarks, towns, cities and parks, and klame the name everyone else sees.
How it works
- 1
Sign up
Anyone can join. Groups and organisations are optional.
- 2
Pin your photos
Drop photos onto the map where they were taken.
- 3
Rename places
Suggest your own name for any landmark, town, city or park.
- 4
Klame a name
Win the auction and your name shows on the public map.
Your photos, where they happened
Every photo you upload is placed on the map at the spot it was taken. Browse your trips as a map instead of a camera roll, and see what other people have pinned to the places you love.
- Upload from your phone or the web
- Photos stored securely and checked before they appear publicly
- Keep photos private, share them with a group, or show everyone
Rename any place on the map
Think that lookout deserves a better name? Suggest one. Anyone can propose names for landmarks, towns, cities and parks. Suggestions stay yours and your group's, and the most popular rise to the top.
Klame names are for fun and display on Klame only. They never change official place names.
Your Klame: the name everyone sees
A klame is a claim on a place's name on the public Klame map. Bid in a timed auction, and if you win, your name is what everyone sees.
- Bigger, better-known places have a higher reserve: an ocean costs more than a street
- Choose a fixed term, a subscription, or a lifetime klame
- Every klamed name is moderated before it shows, and a rejected name is refunded
Groups and organisations
Map together. Create a group for your family, club or team, or invite your staff and clients as an organisation. Everyone adds photos and names the places that matter to you, and your group keeps its own map of names.
- Invite members by email
- Group chat beside the map
- Your group's names stay on your group's map
Atlases, posters and e-atlases
Turn your map into something you can hold. Order a printed atlas or poster of the regions you choose, showing the names you and your group picked, or download an e-atlas.
Organisations use Klame atlases as a gift for staff and clients, with the names their own people chose.
Coming soon: name the night sky
A planetarium view beside the map, where you can klame stars, planets and moons the same way as places.
Klame sky names are Klame-only. The International Astronomical Union and astronomers do not recognise them.
